Welcome to the Clayton Historical Society's website!

The Clayton Historical Society was founded in 1974 to "research, collect, record, preserve, display, borrow, share, and interpret local history information and memorabilia, and to promote understanding of Clayton origins and development."

Freedom, Family,  Friends on the 4th

Clayton’s famous 4th of July parade and celebration is just around the corner. Let’s celebrate our great country and Freedom, Family and Friends of Clayton’s community together, and enjoy our local time-honored tradition.  Look out for members of the Clayton Historical Society on a float in this year's parade, which starts at 10am in downtown Clayton.

Exhibit: Clayton Classic Cars

The Museum’s third annual “Clayton's Classic Cars" exhibit has been set up in the air conditioned museum for another summer. From June through August, the museum will be open to the public on Wednesday evenings from 6-8 pm. Learn more about this new exhibit.
